James K. Johnson, DMD
Dentist in Medford, Oregon

drjohnson@drjameskjohnson.com

As a dentist, I am able to provide a high level of care in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The relationships I've built with my long-standing patients are very strong and each time they come in for a checkup I feel like I have the chance to catch up with an old friend. I have been in practice for over 35 years and have enjoyed every moment of it! All of my staff members have many years of experience in the dental profession and are especially skilled at making patients feel relaxed and comfortable. Working with
a highly trained and caring staff every day is very rewarding and fun. I love dentistry, my patients, and my staff.

Education and Continuing Education
I attended Oregon State University, graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology. I continued on to the University of Oregon Dental School where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1972. After graduation, I worked with the US Public Health Service.

I enjoy being able to offer our patients the latest dental technology in all aspects of dentistry. I continue my education though active memberships in several professional organizations, including the Southern Oregon Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Southern Oregon Dental Research Group, and the Southern Oregon Implant Study Club. I do all this to ensure my patients always receive the highest quality care possible.

Family Life
I was born in Eugene, OR, and lived in Mapleton, a small logging and lumber town in the coast range of Oregon, until 1973. I had the pleasure of raising my three children in the Rogue Valley and am currently enjoying my three grandchildren who are active in local schools and sports and my newly born grandson. When I have free time I enjoy whitewater rafting, water skiing, boating on Lake Shasta, biking, camping, snow skiing, and fishing for steelhead on the Rogue. I'm also a powerboat captain and enjoy chartering in many different areas.

Refresh Your Routine with New Toothpaste Flavors
Did you ever consider the fact that your toothpaste flavor rarely changes? When looking at toothpaste options, it is usually a sea of mint, mint, and more mint, but there are other options out there! If you change up what flavor of toothpaste you use, it can make the routine more exciting, and it can encourage you to brush better.

What Toothpaste Flavor Options Are Available?

When you want to change up your toothpaste flavors for a new experience, it is important to know what options you have. To make your decision, you should first think about things like you like the taste of. If you dislike mint, go with flavors like cinnamon, vanilla chai, citrus, or coconut lime. Do you like mint, but want something different? Try wintergreen, ginger mint, or licorice mint toothpaste. If you want a truly unique flavor, there are plenty of options out there, such as bacon, jasmine, cupcake, whiskey and chocolate toothpaste.

If you want to change up your dental hygiene routine, consider making the small change of switching up your toothpaste flavor. By being more conscious and present during your daily routine, you can make it to where you brush more carefully each day and keep your teeth healthy in the long-run.
